We're finally back! If you haven't noticed the ticker on the left, we have some very exciting news...we will be havine a new addition to the family come December! The girls are looking forward to having a little brother or sister. Jacey is saying it's a girl, Janae thinks it's a boy. We'll see who guesses right!
We've had some great adventures in the last few weeks. Many family members have visited us - a little challenging for me during morning sickness, but they were all very understandging and supportive. First, we were delighted to have Grandma and Grandpa Lemon out for a visit. The girls enjoyed a trip with them to DC to see the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. They loved seeing the animals in particular. It was a very nostalgic visit for Grandma because she served a mission here a few decades ago. We went to the Washington DC temple with them - always a very special experience. We also visited one of our favorite spots - the Dutch Market! We enjoyed the long talks, and the time that Grandma and Grandpa spent reading and playing with the girls.
Next came Grandma and Grandpa Luke, Great Grandma and Grandpa Luke, and Uncle Geoff with his friend Joe. They just all happened to arrive the same evening! It was a party at our house! We had lots of fun with all the excitement. There were lots of highlights. Jacey and Janae really loved seeing/playing with their uncle. He was so nice and brought them back some sea shells from the beach after taking a short trip to New Jersey. The girls enjoyed getting to know their great grandparents, and loved playing with their Grandma and Grandpa. They enjoyed their cell phones in particular that first evening!
We took a trip with all the Grandparents. We drove in our van up to New Jersey. Along the way, we stopped at Hershey's Chocolate World. As you can imagine, this was definitely one of the funnest stops for the girls. They squealed and laughed as they rode on the factory tour and got to see singing cows. We did a little rock-hounding and visited a mine where there are glow-in-the-dark rocks. It was very impressive! Then we went to the Jersey shore and the girls got to play on the beach. Janae calls it the "big sand box." They loved getting their toes washed in the ocean, building sand castles, looking for sea shells, and chasing sea gulls. It was beautiful scenery and the drive was very enjoyable. The company, of course, was the best part of all.
Once everyone left, we had visitor withdrawls! We're so glad that we could make such wonderful memories with family this spring.
Love the new blog! Love the tickers... glad they're working for you. We look forward to reading more of your adventures and pictures. I guess we should try updating our blog sometime again soon, too!
