Hi Family and Friends!

So, it's been a while since the Lemons have had time to update the blog. For those who may not already know, we moved! We said good bye to all our wonderful friends in Maryland and headed to the sunshine state - Arizona! (There's much more to come on our big trek west). Until then, I will try to fill you in on some of our activities... First of all, the Cherry Blossom Festival Dane got off work a little bit early and met us at the tidal basin in D.C. It was a hot day, but SOOOOO worth it! The blossoms were absolutely gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around, drinking lots of ice water, and eating juicy apple slices. Can I just say that I have the cutest family...ever!

Spring - Part 2

Soccer! One of our friends graciously decided to form a free soccer league for young kids. The girls had SO much fun each Saturday practicing their soccer skills. The coach did a great job teaching all 30+ kids (ages 7ish and under). Thanks Dave and Megan!!!
And here's a cute picture of Eric riding something fun! :)

Spring!

Well folks, it's been a while. Let me catch you up on a few of the activites we've done here at the Lemon household... I have been enjoying Janae's preschool this year. I take turns teaching with other Moms in the ward. One week we decided to take a field trip to the fire station. One of the lucky Moms was chosen to dress up as a firefighter. Can you guess who that was??? (hint: there's red hair under that helmet!) The kids had to crawl under smoke (a white bed sheet) to get to the friendly firefighter. They did great! I'm going to try another post because blogger is not letting me download more than 1 picture at a time. Look for my next post soon!!!

A Couple Janae-isms

So Janae said two cute things today that I wanted to write down before I forgot... 1. After eating dinner and then enjoying some snacks at a PTA event at the school, she gets in the car, pats her tummy, and says "[sigh] I'm stuffed and fluffed!" 2. I overheard this conversation between she and Jacey. "What I want in a house is a puppy, a kitty, a cheetah,... and a trampoline. That little girly makes me laugh! Love my kids!!!

Christmas Piano Performance

I hosted a little recital for my piano students. They played a wide variety of Christmas music. They did a great job and we all had a fun time. They were rewarded with a music ornamet, hot chocolate, and rice krispie treats. Yum! Here are the girls playing their songs...

Dane's Christmas Gift

These are some pics of Dane's Christmas gift from me. Mind you, this was all done in secret with every bit of spare time I could muster. The cougar prints and cougar climbing over the ball were done by hand. It was well worth the effort - he loved it!

Catching up

Hi folks! I can't believe it's been 4 months since I've blogged! I guess I've got some catching up to do. First of all, we've had 4 birthdays! Jacey had a fun birthday. She got lots of new clothes,
some coloring and crafting items, and one special gift: ear piercing. Yes, she got her ears pierced.
She was very brave and has taken very good care of her new earrings.
One of our friends from our ward made her a very special birthday cake. It was beautiful - thanks Maria!!!
Eric had a great birthday too! We ate some of his favorite foods: pizza and juice, and he played with his new toys from all his family. His favorite toy was his new firetruck from Mom and Dad, Ferrari from Grandma and Grandpa Luke (hot wheels ferrari), and this puzzle from Grandma and Grandpa Lemon.
Mom made his birthday cake.
He loves to get his picture taken and has started posing for the camera - that's why his head is cocked to one side in all these pictures.
He also loves to help me cook in the kitchen. In this picture, he's helping me to cut out biscuits. You can tell he likes that job!
Janae was waiting and waiting and waiting for her special day to arrive, but it finally came and it was worth it!
She got clothes, a few toys, and our friend Maria made her a special pony cake. This pony is Princess Celestia - Janae's favorite pony on "My Little Ponies."
Her favorite gift was the Unicorn Pillow Pet that shines stars on the ceiling at night. It's pretty cool!
I was watching her eat this turkey leg the other day and it made me laugh. She's a little carnivore.
Happy Birthday to my sweet little ones!!!
